Information regarding the webinar entitled ‘Muteferriqa: A Discovery Portal for Ottoman and Turkish Studies’, to be held on 2 September 2026 by Muteferriqa—which is made available through the TUBITAK ULAKBIM EKUAL programme—is provided below. This is announced to all interested parties.
Muteferriqa provides researchers with access to 7.5 million pages of primary source material comprising printed books and periodicals in Ottoman Turkish and Turkish, spanning the period from the Ottoman Empire to the Republic of Turkey and covering printed materials published from the 18th century to the mid-20th century.
This webinar will provide a practical and detailed overview of how Muteferriqa—an AI-powered research portal dedicated to Ottoman and Turkish studies—can be utilised to enhance access to diverse sources and make research processes more effective and efficient in your academic work.
